About Me
This is my second long-term blog. The first one (1997-2003) crashed and died a horrible, bloody death because I was young and stupid and wrote things in it that I thought would never get back to me, and of course they did. I made some people very upset, and I came off like an idiot.
So! What better idea than to start up another blog, wouldn’t you say? This one is much more tame. No more bitching about people or places or jobs or relationships, but I’m still trying to keep it interesting. For the most part, though, it’s a diary of my life and it is written for my own benefit, not necessarily for the good of the general public.
I started this second blog in the summer of 2006, after I’d gotten married, moved back to the Midwest, and changed careers after finishing graduate school in Maryland. It was a lot of big life changes. I’m glad I chronicled some of it here.
Now I am a librarian (more or less) for the big state university in the main college town of mid-Missouri. I live near my extended family, and I am married to a female medical resident. We have a dog and three cats.
I also have something of a photography hobby/part-time obsession.
