I really had a wonderful weekend even though it rained almost nonstop between 11am Saturday and, well, right now. We got 3.4″ of rain on Saturday. They said we wouldn’t get much yesterday, but if it stopped raining on Sunday, I didn’t realize it. It rained constantly.
I was able to help out with the Clean Up Columbia project, but the Earth Day festival was postponed until this coming weekend. If it gets rained out again, it’ll be cancelled for the year. Which will suck!
Since I thought I was busy all weekend, the fact that I was really only busy on Saturday meant that the whole weekend took on a ‘found time’ quality, which I like. So I spent a big chunk of it in front of my computer, processing photos from months ago and catching up on my 365 Project. I am happy to say that I am finally all caught up there. I should have a new post about it on my photo blog today. Here are the pictures I posted on Saturday and here are all the pictures I posted on Sunday. (And that’s not everything, because I did a lot of family photos which are on a different site.)
I managed to take the dog to the park on Friday night, which was lucky because of all the rain. It would be a soggy mess there today. Martha did not whine about it too much, but spent the weekend snoring loudly on the pillow next to my computer desk. (She has three beds in the house- one in the living room, one in the bedroom, and one next to the computer so that she can be comfortable while she’s right next to me.)
So that was great. I got a lot of laundry done, and I hung out with my sister and her notboyfriend on both Friday and Saturday, and went to the gym yesterday. So, in total, it was a very good weekend.
The only thing keeping it from being a 10 out of 10 is that I have a monster breakout on my chin, to the point that I am hiding from everyone in my cubicle all day so that I can let them heal. I have had terrible skin all spring. I usually get crazy skin in the spring, so I get a facial at this time of year, which helps. This year it didn’t help at all. I have been drinking a ton of water, too, much more than usual. Everyone always says, “Drink more water!” but I am doing just fine with water. I have given up all regular drinking of carbonated or caffeinated beverages. So maybe it’s the water that is to blame! But hopefully this current breakout is something like a last hurrah for the clogged pores in my face, and then they’ll just calm down for the summer.
But, really, the breakout only brings the weekend down to a 9.5 out of 10. Excellent weekend!
