Mustard; Also, Road Trips

May 15th, 2009 · No Comments · Endless Blathering

I am craving mustard like crazy, though a) that’s kind of weird, isn’t it? and b) it’s not that easy to get because I’m a vegetarian and there isn’t much in the way of mustard-y foods.  The closest food with mustard would be a Subway sandwich, about six blocks to campus and six blocks back, and I decided to wear something of a heel today, so hmm… I’m not sure it’s totally worth it.

Also, c) I brought lunch, though it’s just a frozen burrito and could easily continue to sit in the freezer until next week.

In other news, I am driving to Springfield, Missouri, tomorrow.  I had other plans for the weekend.  I still have other plans for the weekend, but a Craigslist find requires me to drop everything and drive the six hours roundtrip to Springfield to pick up a mid-century modern credenza.  (God, I hope it’s in good shape.)  I guess I should be glad I didn’t find it in Chicago- that would be a much longer trip.

If I didn’t have so much going on this weekend, I might try to go down earlier and stay over, do some photos or something.  Springfield is in a pretty part of the state.  But I do have a bunch going on, and I will leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow with the hope that I can make it back to Columbia in the early afternoon.  Early to mid afternoon.  I just need to get some photo work done, that’s all.

God, I hope that credenza is in good shape.  Though, seriously, I’ve had pretty good luck with the vintage furniture I’ve bought so far.  Maybe that means I’m due.  Hmm.
