I thought that this would be my all-time favorite Amazon review (it’s the top one), but then this popped up.  I have to share it.  How do you feel about your Bic pen?  (My favorite was the reference to the ubiquity of the Property of the US Government pens in the NSA ghettos, somewhere halfway down the page.)

I’m giggling back in my cubicle, but I have stuffed half of my sleeve into my mouth to keep from being heard by my officemate.  I shouldn’t be giggling.  It should be all work, work, work!  Even on a Friday afternoon.

I was giggling at this yesterday: Stuff White People Like.  White People Like: dogs, kitchen gadgets, multilingual children, Japan, coffee, and knowing what’s best for poor people.  I wouldn’t bother getting defensive- it’s pretty spot on.  There’s more, and it’s clever, so take a look.

I can’t stop listening to the Beatles.  I try to choose something else, but then I think, “I’d rather be listening to the Beatles.”  So I flip back.

The Amazon review reminds me of a Greenspun forum (LUSENET forum, I know) that I had linked to my blog back in the day.  No one posted on it from my blog, because I was pretty boring and why bother?  But then it was co-opted by a bunch of Brits, who were all very humorous and slightly drunk, as far as I could ever tell.  Anyway, Greenspun went down and my blog bit the dust shortly thereafter, and that’s all there is to that story.  And, really, it’s not much of a story, is it?  Just in my head, where it doesn’t count.

Photo Note: An indigo bunting on the bird feeder at my parents’ house.  Despite having just invested in a really expensive new camera (a different model than the one I posted last week), I’ve spent this week going through photos from last summer or scanning in film, and I’ve shot almost nothing.  That will change this weekend, but it’s nice to see some summer color and happy little birds.
