So Halloween came and went, and it was fun. We had our little party last night at our house, with screenings of both It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! and The Nightmare Before Christmas as well as vegetable pot pie and chilly Halloweiners (chili dogs) and a lot, a lot of candy.
It was a nice little party! And we had a bunch of trick o’treaters, the best of which was dressed as a “dead cabbie”, though we had several Supermans and Cinderellas and Tiggers and even a geisha. (Although, to be fair, she may not have intended to be specifically a geisha, but you did get that sense.)
A nice party. In retrospect, I should have made punch. Parties are always better with punch.
So Halloween is over and now I guess it’s time for Christmas! Or so they all will have me believe.

I went home and watched that movie all over again. I just loved it!
And no, it is not time for Christmas. What about Thanksgiving?
Halloween is a good icebreaker for these holidays, isn’t it? (I forgot the cider, though…)
Thanksgiving barely registers as anything but a precursor to Christmas these days. It’s the real Christmas Eve, since it’s the eve of the whole Christmas season. And no one gets any work done during the Christmas season!
